Mr. Marcos Barragan

Marcos Barragan, age 61 of Lincoln Park, passed away January 20th, 2017. Born August 30th, 1955 to the late Manuel and Eliza Barragan. Loving husband of Betty and dear father of Mario. Brother to Juanita (Jerry) Burke and Michael (Terri) Barragan. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and beloved dog Rocco. He was preceded in death by siblings Maria, Margarita, Leonor, and Manuel Jr. Marcos was a dedicated employee of Great Lakes Steel for over 43 years. Even taking on the responsibility of serving as President of the Local 1299 United Steel Workers for 8 years. He was a huge fan of any type of music as well as all the Detroit sports teams, especially the Detroit Lions. "We'll give them one more year" he would always say. But one thing he may have loved more was his wife's cooking. He will always be remembered as a very generous, kind, and loving man.
