Taylor, Kim F. Age 64, died in his home on Grosse Ile on Jan. 7th of natural causes following decades of physical challenges. In 1977 he received a kidney transplant from his younger brother John and over the years he battled cardiac problems. This did not stop him from living a rich and full life. He worked at the Chrysler Trenton Plant for 35 years and was a frequent presence on stages in theatrical productions around the area. Among his most memorable were performances with Grosse Ile's Islanders. They included roles in "Company," "The Gondoliers," and as the wacky uncle who thought he was Teddy Roosevelt in "Arsenic and Old Lace." Mr. Taylor was also a long-time member of the Lutheran Singers where he was a board member and past vice president. He was a military historian and shared his expertise at many area schools. Mr. Taylor was a graduate of Wyandotte's Roosevelt High School and attended Henry Ford Community College and Central Michigan University. He is survived by his brothers Harry, Rolland and John, sister-in-law Susan Aaron-Taylor, his niece Chelsea Rendahl and his nephew Jay Taylor. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 1pm at Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church, 7925 Horsemill Rd., Grosse Ile. Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation
