Mr. Joseph Andrew Kaus

Kaus, Joseph A., age 81 of Trenton, passed away on October 4, 2015. Joseph was born on November 6, 1933 in Detroit to his parents Joseph and June Kaus (Spangler). He was a part of the first graduating class of Huron High School, where he met the love of his life, Shirle. Joseph graduated high school and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1953 and proudly served our country. A few months later the high school sweethearts got married on October 31, 1953. They were blessed with two daughters, Karen and Kimberlee. Joseph loved to take care of his wife and spend time with his family. He also liked to go to the casinos with his brother. He was a die-hard Lions fan and always kept Fox News on the television. His family and friends will miss him dearly. Joseph is the beloved husband of the late Shirle. Dear father of Karen D. Nicolli and Kimberlee D. (Roger) Kaus-Wirth. Proud papa of Michael, Katherine, Alex, Lizzie, and Amelia. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother John. Visitation will be held at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. on Wednesday from 3 to 8 pm. Funeral service Thursday at the funeral home, time to be determined. Interment with military honors at Michigan Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in memory of Joseph may be made out to a charity of the donor's choosing.
