Irving Epps Jr., age 77, of Monroe, Michigan passed away Monday September 8, 2014 at Oakwood Hospital Dearborn, MI. Irv was born October 4, 1936 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Irving and Missouri (Robinson) Epps Sr, his family moved to the Monroe, MI area in 1946. He attended Monroe Public Schools, graduated from Monroe High School and attended classes at Monroe County Community College. Irv was married to Judy Howard and then to Carol Bugby who both preceded him in death. Irv was employed in the maintenance department at Detroit Edison Monroe for over 30 years, he also operated his own ice cream truck in the Monroe area for many years, he was known as the "Pink Panther". Irv was a member of The K of C Monroe, St Josephs Catholic Church and assisted with meals on wheels in the local area, he was loved by many. Irv is survived by his children, Lloyd (Vickie) Epps of Monroe, Ricki Lynn Cooper of Ypsilanti, Marie (John) Abalos of Bossier City, LA, Michelle Tackett of Monroe, Spring (Antione Lawson) Jackson of Cleveland, OH, Gari (Tom) Thompson of Toronto, OH, Destiny Epps of Westland, MI and Terri Fowler of N.C.; brother Cleveland Epps of Ann Arbor; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, William, Floyd, Marcus, Robert, Ruby Doles, Dollie Hubbard, Helen Thompson, Dorothy Ransaw and Eunice Gries.
