Mr Herbert J. Mcmullen

Herbert J. McMullen, age 88, of Rockwood, MI. passed away in his home on June 29, 2013. Herbert was born February 24, 1925 in Monroe, to William and Theresa (Liedel) McMullen. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1943, and proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1943-1946. He married Delphine Voris on October 15, 1949 at St Mary's Catholic Church Rockwood; sadly she preceded him in death on October 31, 2012 after 63 years of marriage. Herb was employed for over 40 years at Ford Engineering Dearborn where he was a shipping leader, he retired in 1990. He also was employed as a policeman for the city of Rockwood for 20 years and also worked many years for Clark Ford Funeral Home. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church Rockwood and enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with his family. Herb is survived by his children, Daniel (Cheri) of Grand Rapids, Cynthia (Kenneth) Hause of Northfield, MN, Joseph (Patricia) of Nashua, NH, Colleen (Thomas) Pawluk of Waterford, Timothy (Deborah) of Laguna Beach, CA, Randall (Amy) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Annette (Steven) Wilt of Trenton, Leslie (Thomas) Filsinger of Jamestown, NY, Gregory (Diana) of Fayetteville, AR and Thomas (Maria) of Sterling Heights; Proud grandfather of 27, great grandfather of 13. He is also survived by a brother, Francis (Betty) McMullen of Hastings, MI. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William Jr., Robert and infant brothers Raymond and Kenneth.
