Mr Gerald F. Lizyness

Gerald F. Lizyness, age 77, of Harrison, MI formerly of Newport and Wyandotte, MI, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening January 10, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital Bay City, MI. Gerald was born October 19, 1936 in Newport, MI to Frank E. and Ramona (Cousino) Lizyness; he attended St Charles Grade School and Catholic Central High School. Gerald was employed with Detroit Teamsters for over 32 years, driving for Foodland and Abner Wolf Trucking of Livonia, he retired in 1993. He spent his time boating, fishing, riding his Dune Buggy, 4 wheeling, hunting, his John Deere Tractor and spending time with his family. Gerald is survived by his companion, Joyce Schaffer; children, Donald (Debbie) Lizyness of Harrison, MI, Dennis Lizyness of Wyandotte, MI, Douglas (Diane) Lizyness of Newport, MI, Darryl Lizyness of Wyandotte, MI, Dawn (William) Collins of Whitmore Lake, MI and Debra (Alan) Cusson of Wyandotte, MI; siblings, James Gearhart of Trenton, MI, Ronald Lizyness of Newport, MI and Donald (Clara) Lizyness of Rockwood, MI; sisters in law, Esther Lizyness of S.Rockwood, MI and Geraldine Lizyness of Rockwood, MI; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Orville in 1997 and Ellwood in 2010, sister in law Judy Gearhart.
