Mr. Gary C. Gronda

Gronda, Gary C. Age 71. April 3, 2013 of Rockwood. Beloved husband of 47 years to Nora. Loving dad of Cara (Paul) Clemente of Lincoln Park, Craig (Laura) of Pinckney and Chad (Leeann) of Allen Park. Proud grandpa of Joseph, Nathan, Emma, Brett, Connor, Fynn, Carly, Tiffany, Alex, Xzavier, Noah and Lauren. Dearest son of Ernestine and the late Clifford. Loving brother to Michael (Lenice), Linda (the late Terry) Bolthouse, Marlene (Jim) Chopp, Steven (Charlotte), Mary Ann (Bob) Arndt, Elaine (Frank) Roberts, Ralph (Angela), Kathy (Chris) Coolsaet, Laura Corella, Philip (Biff), Tim (Cathy) and the late Gail Walker. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening, was employed with Karmazin Products for 38 ½ years and retired from Reckitt Benckiser in Rockwood as a supervisor in 1997. He served his county in the US Army and achieved the rank of Specialist (E4). In his spare time he served as a volunteer fire fighter/first responder for the City of Rockwood for 20 years. He also volunteered as a head coach for the Huron River Yellow Jackets Downriver Football Organization where he led two of his teams to the Peanut Bowl Championship.
