Mr. Edward H. Melkonian

Melkonian, Edward H. Age 90. Born on June 25,1924 in Detroit. Edward passed away on Dec 21st. A former resident of Lincoln Park. Husband of Christine for 34 years. Dear Father of Roger, Sandra and Connie. Dearest Grandfather of Jason, Shelly, Jeffrey, Steven, Rachel and Brandon. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren Brent, Kaley, Jacob, Marissa, Emily, Logan, Joel, Lexi, Dylan and 1 great-great grandson Noah Edward. Edward served in the US Army Air Force during World War II. He was employed at Veterans Hospital in Allen Park for 30 years as a chauffeur. His position included transporting veterans and medical staff to and from other hospitals, transporting medical supplies, and driving and escorting vets to baseball and football games. He received several awards over the course of his employment for superior performance. He retired in January of 1980.
