Clare is survived by his daughters Debbie (Gus) Nelson and Darleen (the late Chris) Barnard; his grandchildren Benny, Kenny, Denny, Tiffany, Carrie and Ashley; his great grandchildren Juliet and Benaiah, his sister Eunice Smerdon and his companion June Martin.
