Mr Calvin Leslie Elefritz

Calvin L. Elefritz, age 87, of Flat Rock, MI, passed away Wednesday March 20, 2013 at Applewood Nursing Center Woodhaven, he had been in declining health. Calvin was born May 26, 1925 in Richwood, West Virginia to William James and Agnes Mae (Maurey) Elefritz. His first marriage was to Mary Maxine Woods on June 22, 1945, she preceded him in death on February 1, 2008, his second marriage was to Geneva Hogg on May 25, 1974, and she also preceded him in death on November 9, 2010. Calvin was employed at McClouth Steel for over 18 years as a laborer and a Hi-Lo Driver, he retired in 1984. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Flat Rock for many years where he served as an usher. Calvin enjoyed collecting model trains, making jewelry, gardening, fishing and loved fixing and repairing cars. Calvin is survived by his children, Russell (Brenda) Elefritz of Flat Rock, Calvin Elefritz of Riverview, Mary Bell of Flat Rock and Janet (Tim) Novencido of Grandview, Tenn; step daughter, Luann (Tom) Lewandowski; siblings, Raymond (Rosa) Elefritz of Flat Rock and Lillian Summerfield of Newport Richey, Fl; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, son Douglas Wayne Elefritz and a brother, Howard Elefritz.
