Arnold J. Goodnuff, age 82 of Monroe, passed away October 13, 2018 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Born November 21, 1935 to the late Oliver and Mathilda Goodnuff. Arnold proudly served his country as a Specialist 4th Class in the United States Army, where he received a medal for sharpshooting with an M1 carbine rifle. He graduated from Rets Electronic School in Toledo, and was the owner of Goodnuff's Radio and TV Repair. He was known as a handyman. He could fix almost anything. Arnold was a Webelo leader of Pack 19, and volunteer at RSVP and Cancer Connection. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1995 after 31 years. In his spare time Arnold loved to travel. Visiting almost all of the 50 states, as well as Rome, Switzerland, the Caribbean, and Mexico. Arnold married Shirley Allor on August 24, 1959. Together they raised 3 children, Paul (Holly), Mark "Goody" (Tammy), and Ann (Rene) Moore. Proud grandfather of Thomas and Michael Goodnuff. Also survived by sister Irene Dewilde, sister in law Marilyn Goodnuff, 7 nephews, and his furry companion "Katey". He was preceded in death by his brother Lester. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Connection and/ or the Alzheimer's Association.
