Mr. Alec Peter Nagorski

Nagorski, Alec Peter age 61 of Lauderhill, Florida, passed away September 21, 2016. Survived by his father Peter Nagorski and brother of Amy Johnson, Andrew and Arthur (Lynn). Alec was preceded in death by his mother Rosamond and sister Annette (Paul) Haley. In the early 1970's Alec competed nationally in men's figure skating and trained under 1968 Olympian Gary Visconti. A 1973 graduate of Trenton High School and an 1977 alumni of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Alec's true passion was always food. Pursing that lead him to study French, and in 1985 he moved to Paris and studied at Ecole de Cuisine LaVarenne. Afterwards Alec relocated to Fort Lauderale to avoid the cold Michigan winters. In recent years Alec was a member of his church choir and was active in feeding the homeless every Thanksgiving. He was known to all for achieving difficult goals, enjoying life at its highs, demonstrating faith and hope at its lows, and smiling or laughing with everyone along the way. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews especially Katy(Molaski) Griffith, Christopher Molaski, Mike Nagorski, Andrew Saunders, Liz (Nagorski) Ryan, Abby Nagorski, Eric Haley and Margaret (Haley) Tirpak.
