Morgan was born on September 8, 1949, to Walter and Bobbie Justice of Pikeville, KY. He attended Trenton High School and was a talented athlete in football and wrestling, having the opportunity to play football as a Michigan State University Spartan from 1968-1970. In December of 1977, he met and married the love of his life Cheryl Lynn Allstaedt. After beginning a family in Southgate, MI, they moved to Grosse Ile, MI, in December of 1984. Morgan also worked as a union pipefitter (Arkema) for many years until his retirement. He was an active member of Moose Lodge #966 and the American Legion Post #426. Morgan is survived by his wife Cheryl Justice, son Brad Justice (Jack Kelley) of San Diego, CA, son Brett (Rachel) Justice of Holt, MI, brother John (Martha) Justice of Tennessee, sister Clara (John) Lyon of Louisiana, and brother-in-law David Allstaedt of Tennessee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews, wonderfully supportive friends, and fur grand dogs. Morgan was an avid sports fan, especially MSU, the Detroit teams, and Nascar. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was also an animal lover and had fond memories with his dogs and cat. Morgan was someone people gravitated to because he was so honest and kind. Family and friendship were important to Morgan. He would do anything for a friend or loved one. He will be forever missed, but his memories will live on in many people’s hearts as he brought so much joy and laughter to everyone he met. A formal remembrance service will be held at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton, MI 48183 on Saturday, April 24th, 2021, at 4:00 pm, where guests are encouraged to share their memories of Morgan. Prior to the service, guests are welcome from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm to visit with Morgan’s friends and family. We welcome all to celebrate the life of a great man, friend, father, and husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. To those attending visitation and/or services at the funeral home for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced. We are not able to have food in the funeral home at this time. Thank you for understanding.
