Crawford, Mildred A; of Monroe was born on January 23, 1921 in Graham, Kentucky and died on March 5, 2016 at the age of 95. She married John T. Crawford on May 18, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas and he preceded her in death in 1981. Loving mom of Judy Crawford of Leesburg, FL, Ginny Farrington of Tipp City, OH, Jim Crawford of Monroe, MI, Jerry Crawford of Salem Twp., MI and John Crawford of Rochester Hills, MI. Proud grandma of Erin (Jason) Carter, Joanna (Tom) Fennelly, Meghann Crawford, Kim (Nick) Lumpkins, John Crawford, Kitty Crawford and Angie (Dave) Carlin. Great grandma of Colin, Marie, Jocelyn, Cara, Mia, Eryn and Lindsay. Also survived by one brother John Baker as well as other loving family and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents Henry Baker and Rosa Craig; two brothers Godfrey and Ray Baker and one sister Daphne Foster. Earlier in her life Mildred played basketball, tennis and field hockey; she was a graduate of Commerce High School in Detroit, a retiree of Orchards Children's Services in Southfield and a member of the Women's Athletic Association. Mildred was an avid golfer and Detroit Tiger fan who enjoyed traveling and playing bridge. Visitation is Tuesday 4 – 8 pm at The Allore Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm, Monroe and the funeral service is Wednesday 11 am at the funeral home. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
