Michael McClanahan was born on April 13, 1947 in Grosse Pointe Farms and passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024 at the age of 76; he was of Grosse Ile. Beloved husband of the late Janice. Loving father of Kimberly and Patrick (Janna). Proud grandfather of Sydney, Gillian, Zachary, and Palmer. Dearest brother of Pat and Ted. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Dale and Catherine. Michael was a graduate of Bentley High School in Livonia; he proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force and was  was a retiree of DTE. Michael enjoyed boating, traveling, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. There is a gathering on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 3 pm to 7 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Memorial contributions to honor his life may be made to Henry Ford Hospice.
