Michael Lee Pengelly

Pengelly, Michael Lee, age 68 of Trenton, Michigan, was born May 31, 1947, and died November 15, 2015. Beloved husband of Susan Kathleen Dowling Pengelly and loving father of Michael and Kristen Pengelly. Also survived by his brothers Dennis (Joyce) Pengelly and Patrick (Cheryl) Pengelly, in-laws Deanna (Vincent) DeMassa, beloved nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Elizabeth Pengelly. Mike served in the Army from 1969 - 1971, and as a Military Police Office in Vietnam from March 1970 - January 1971. While in the service, he was awarded several medals, including a Bronze Star. Mike will be remembered as a kind and compassionate man who liked to stay active by golfing, kayaking, swimming, and biking. He was a devoted husband, loving father, fun uncle/great-uncle, and great friend. He loved the outdoors, visiting Metroparks and national parks, buying products Made in the USA, and telling awesome "dad jokes." He taught science and math in the Woodhaven School District before retiring in 2003.
