Mehdi (Fred) El-Asfahani 4/4/1944 - 9/5/2023. Born to the late Colonel and Mrs. Ibrahim Asfahani in Beirut, Lebanon. He came to the United States in 1970 to pursue his education, he graduated from Western Michigan University in 1976, where he met the love of his life Marcia (Schweiss). He worked for almost 30 years with the United States Defense Department as a quality engineer. He married Marcia in 1974 and became the proud father of Fadia (Bodnyak) and Houda (Guilloz). Loving grandfather (Gitto) of Ella, Ava, Layla, Max, Blake, Maggie, Sophia, Jack and Ben. He is survived by his 7 brothers and sisters: Sami (Ibt Sam), Khalil (Amira), Aziz (Wendy), Sanya (Samir) Idriss, Riad (Pam), Nada, Houda (Mohammed) Asfahani.
Mehdi loved life, working out, traveling and his family, especially his precious grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes- Trenton Chapel on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A prayer service will begin at 4:30. Private burial will take place at Michigan Memorial Park.
