Maxine E. Sevey

Maxine E. Sevey (86) of Flat Rock, MI went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2017. Maxine was born on August 22,1930 in upstate NY where she grew up, met and married her high school sweetheart, Bryan Sevey. They were married 63 years before his death in November, 2014. She is survived by her two children, Mike (Becky) Sevey of Elgin, IL and Debbie (Larry) Andrews of Flat Rock, MI. Maxine is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Susan Sevey, Jill (Sevey) Hubbard, Scott Sevey, Ken Andrews, Matt Andrews and Vicky (Andrews) Harrison and 12 great grandchildren. She took great delight in each and every one of her "grands" and never missed an opportunity to share a picture or two.....Or twenty. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Maxine will be remembered by all of us for her love for her Lord and Savior and all the ways she was able to serve others because of it. The Lord filled her with a compassionate and generous spirit which she shared lavishly with those around her. She will also be remembered for great creativity whether it was sewing Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, decorating, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, or ceramics.....She excelled and loved teaching and sharing with others. She and Bryan also enjoyed years of square dancing with good friends. Besides Bryan, Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, all four of her siblings and 2 great grandson's. To God be the glory for a life well lived.
