Dr. Maureen Marion Hayes, 67, of Fairfax Station Virginia passed away unexpectedly on September 6th, 2023 after an 8 month battle with cancer.

Born in Wayne County, Michigan, she was the daughter of Arthur and Virginia Hayes. Maureen brought her passion and love for dancing, fierce discipline, elegance and service to everything she did.

Maureen was raised in Allen Park, Michigan where she spent all of her earlier years around her loved ones and family. Maureen's interest in wellness led her to attend and complete a doctorate at Logan College of Chiropractic.

Maureen began practicing as a doctor of chiropractic in 1984 in Fairfax, VA where she dedicated her life to serve her local community, along with her beloved husband, Dr. Steven Green. Her patients and families valued her commitment to making sure everyone would leave her office feeling better than how they came in. Her dedication to service extended to her consistent donations and support of those in need through her assistance at Nativity Catholic Church for over 30 years.

Maureen loved to immerse herself in culture, language, dance, history and travel. She was a dedicated student of dance and you could find her and Steve taking weekly classes and taking over the empty spaces in any restaurant or venue that would play their favorite tunes. She also found great solace and refuge in nature. So much so that she and her husband created a sanctuary and oasis in her backyard she would call her paradise. She would sit in her space and say she wouldn't even need to travel as she had everything she needed right under the feet. Her many hummingbirds that would come and visit would absolutely agree.

Maureen also loved taking daily walks with her husband and family by the beautiful Lake Burke, as her family would say, nature was Maureen's church.

We are grateful to those of you who will join us to celebrate the Life Force energy that was Maureen.

Our request is that you show up wearing your best blue outfit as that was Maureen's favorite color.
