Marylue L. Olson, Passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018 at Fontainview of Monroe surrounded by family. Born March 23, 1934 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edward and Mable (Wilt) Heffernan, one of seven siblings. She married Robert Earl Wheeler and raised three children: Robert, John, and Blenda. Marylue worked for Howell Electronics and Bell Electronincs, assembling electronic componenents and equipment. Her sharp-minded and meticulous nature were well-suited for this labor. She also was employed as a seamstress for Catalina Bathingsuits. Marylue was skilled at handwork, especially crochet. She created patterns for intricate lacework, and indulged her grandchildren with wardrobes of clothing for their dolls. Her hobbies also included a love for animals and a fondness for fishing. Marylue lived most of her adult life in Louisiana, until 2005 when Hurricane Rita blew her northwards to live with her daughter, Blenda Bondy and family. Although she forever missed the warm Louisiana weather, she was surrounded in her later life with the warmth of being close to family. Marylue was a quiet, humble, and loving person. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Blenda (Colin) Bondy of Newport, MI, and 2 sons Robert G. Wheeler and John P. Wheeler of West Lake, LA., 8 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters, as well as two husbands, Robert E. Wheeler and Francis Olson. Marylue's remains will rest at Mamosa Pines Cemetary in Sulphur, Louisiana.
