Maryann Riehle

Born in Monroe, MaryAnn was the daughter of Clement and Hazel (Younglove) Hess. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in Maybee as well as Maybee Junior High School. MaryAnn married the love of her life, James Riehle, on February 16, 1952. Sadly he preceded her in death December of 2010. A dedicated homemaker, MaryAnn also did child care for many years, having cared for over 100 children; she became affectionately known to the children as "Re-Re". She also was well known for her cake decorating. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Christian Women's Society. MaryAnn also volunteered at Maplewood Manor and Marion Place. MaryAnn leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Kim Marie (Timothy) Wilhite of Monroe; a grandson Sean Wilhite; a brother Joseph (Mary Ann) Hess of LaSalle; and four sisters: Loretta (Robert) Aubry of Monroe, Shirley Saum of Monroe, Norma Lee Thomas of Royal Oak and Dorothy (Robert) LaPrad of Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Herbert Hess and a sister Rosella Mazur. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Mary Catholic Church or Mercy-Memorial Hospice.
