Maryann Agnes Laginess

Born February 2, 1933 in Hamtramck, MaryAnn was the daughter of Edward and Anna (Zomkowski) Przystup. A graduate of St. Florian High School, she married the love of her life, Jack Laginess on February 20, 1954. Sadly he preceded her in death August 16, 2019. MaryAnn had worked at St. Charles School as well as Grosse Ile Public Schools. She was a faithful member of St. Charles Boromeo Catholic Church and volunteered for the Comboni Missionaries.

MaryAnn leaves to cherish her memory her children: Jackie Laginess, Janice Laginess John (Carol) Laginess and James (Sheri) Laginess; three grandchildren: Eric Laginess, Justin Laginess and Kelli Laginess; as well as two siblings: Geraldine (Ken) Beck and Jerome (Judey) Przystup. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister Delores Jablonski.

Memorial contributions in honor of MaryAnn may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church or Comboni Missionaries Ladie’s Auxiliary.
