Mary "Pat" Cameron

Cameron, Mary Patricia (Pat/Putt), age 91 of Troy, formerly of Trenton, MI passed away October 27, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Cameron. Loving mother of Mike (Shelly), Andrew (Laurie), Mary (Mark) Funk and Amy Cameron. Also survived by her grandchildren Casey (Emily), Alexia, Christine (Aaron), Matthew and Jack as well as a great-grandson Hugh. Pat was born in Escanaba, MI on November 28, 1929. She graduated from U of M in 1951. After college she went to Chicago where she worked at TIME Magazine. She would later meet her future husband and relocate back to Michigan. Pat and Hugh settled in Trenton where they raised their family. Pat was an active volunteer at the former Seaway Hospital. She was an avid Bridge player, enjoyed Tennis and even golfed into her 80’s. Pat and Hugh enjoyed traveling in their later years and spending time with family as well as their many cherished friends. A funeral service will be held for Mary at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton, MI on Tuesday November 2, 2021 with an instate time of 10:30am and a mass at 11am. Funeral arrangements were made by the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of “Pat” may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind – 1039 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48307.
