Mary Kay Ely

Mary Kay Gourlay Ely, of Ecorse, was born on October 29, 1960 and passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William and Muriel Gourlay; sister to Kathy, Al, Daniel, Rich, the late Debbie, the late Robert, and the late Scott; loving wife to the late Daniel; beloved mother to Jovita, Antonio, Joseph, Alan, Steven, Michelle, and Kristal; cherished grandmother to Johnathan, Angilique, Joshua, Andrew, Dakota, Michaela, Bryanna, Shyann, Jason, Samantha, Kaden, Kenzi, Steven, Jr., Zayn, and Reza; proud great-grandmother to Gabryella, Alayah, Rico, Dominick, and Arabella; and an adoptive mother and grandmother to many. Mary Kay was a community mother and grandmother figure to all. She always welcomed those around her with open arms. She was loving, compassionate, caring, and had a huge heart. Her home was home to all those that knew her.
