Mary Katherine Bigliardi, age 80, was called home to be with God on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023.
Mary was born on September 5, 1942 in Hillsdale Michigan and was the youngest child of Eva and Glenn Stanley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jay Stanley, and her brother Robert Stanley. She is survived by her sister, Susan Knake. Mary and her beloved husband Louis Bigliardi shared an enviable marriage of nearly 61 years and had two sons, Lou Bigliardi (Kathleen) and Matt Bigliardi (Christy). They have five grandchildren, Alyssa Phillips (Dustin), Christopher Bigliardi, Megan Morgan (Chris), Mike Bigliardi, and Claire Bigliardi and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Morgan and Beau Morgan.
Mary had an adventurous spirit that was proven when, as a young newlywed, she dropped everything, sold their car, and joined Louis in Okinawa, Japan, where he was stationed during his time with the Army. She was an active member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church and loved playing games with her family, trips to the casino, and memories of wonderful times spent with friends and family at their cottage on Bird Lake.
Mary’s kindness, dignity, grace, and spirit will be desperately missed by all who knew her.
