Mary Elizabeth Wenzel

Born in Little Falls, New York, Mary was the daughter of Peter and Agnes (Wrufel) Wojdan. She married the love of her life, Floyd John Wenzel, on January 22, 1938 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carleton. Sadly he preceded her in death in 1974. A dedicated homemaker, Mary also worked as a seamstress at Monroe Bridal Aisle for over 25 years, and then working from her home for many years for friends and family. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Frenchtown Place Council, RSVP, Frenchtown Senior Citizens; where she served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer, and on the Travel Commission at Frenchtown and volunteered as a Travel Escort. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and caregiver Sharon Wenzel of Monroe; a grandson David Alt Sr.; two great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; as well as her extended family: Joseph and Shirley Congioloso of Newport and Monte and Elaine Sweet of Newport. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Alt; three brothers: Peter Wojdan, Marion Wojdan and Joseph Wojdan; four sisters: Phyllis Kubicki, Jennie Rinehart, Josephine Psyzora and Lorraine Burton; as well as a great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Mary may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
