Mary Elizabeth Plummer Obituary

Mary Elizabeth (Chinavare) Plummer beloved, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 84, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 1, 2023 after a short illness. Her last hours were spent surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Arthur Plummer Sr, Sister Margaret Dreslinski, children Ann Marie (Maurice) Cartier, Carol (Donald) Waskiewicz, Ronald (Trish) Plummer, Gary (Maureen) Plummer, Chris (Kurt Lang) Reed, Gerald (Michele) Plummer and Joyce (Brad) Rusnell. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Margaret Chinavare, Brother Thomas Chinavare, sister Bernadette Novak, sister Marilyn Chinavare and her grandson Hunter. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was a wonderful and loving person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had a long career as a Nurse working in hospitals and for the Red Cross from which she eventually retired. Mary and Ron raised their family in Taylor, MI and were active in the parishes and neighborhood. Ron and Mary retired young and relocated to their home in Northern Michigan at their beloved Higgins Lake. There they enjoyed the company of lifelong friends and family. Mary was most recently a member of St Hubert’s parish in Higgins Lake where she participated in activities with her parish friends. Always a lover of card and board games, she will ever be remembered for her competitiveness and unbridled feistiness.
