Mary Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Gillum

Click on the tribute wall above to view Liz’s video tribute Mary Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Gillum of Flat Rock, Michigan was born on March 2, 1946 in Middlesboro, Kentucky and went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2022 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of 48 years to Albert. Loving mom of Ada (Gary) Barrett, Timmy Gillum, the late Dana Gillum, Donna Gillum and Steven (Andrea) Gillum. Proud mamaw of 11 and great grandma of 10. Dearest sister of the late Jim Fuson and to his wife Wanda, Randell (the late Bea) Fuson, Dean (Alice) Fuson and Jack (the late Ellen) Fuson. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Margie Fuson. Liz loved the Lord and was a longtime member of the Monroe Church of God; she enjoyed playing the piano at church. She was a graduate of Trenton High School. Her family was her love in life especially her grandchildren; she loved being involved with them and attending their sporting events. Liz was a homemaker who prided herself on caring for others and cooking from scratch; she also enjoyed quilting, volunteering as an election official for the City of Flat Rock and loved Michigan State sports. Visitation is on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. The funeral service is on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made to Angela Hospice.
