Mary C. Frederick

Mary C. Frederick was born on June 2, 1933 in Ohio to Lawrence and Hilda Schmidt. She married Donald L. Frederick in 1954 in Napoleon, OH, and began to grow their family. In 1967, they moved to the downriver area, where they had resided until their passings. She worked as a office manager at County Electric for over 30 years. Mary enjoyed bowling and travelling to Myrtle Beach and Florida’s Gulf Coast with her family. She was the epicenter of her family, who she loved above all else.

Mary is survived by her children Donna Stein, Carolyn Saam, Joan (Richard) Garvin, David (Jeanette) Frederick, Dale Frederick, and Marilyn (Paul) Kaliszewski; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, her brother-in-law Lynn Frederick, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald (2014), son-in-law Edward Stein, her brothers Robert (Aletha), James (Margie) and Paul (Helen); as well as her sister-in-law’s Eileen (Lee) Knipp and Sharon Frederick.

Visitation will take place on December 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM at the Ford Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. There will be a service at 11:30 AM at the same location. From there, we will drive in procession to Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery to witness the entombment.
