Mary Ann Hammar

Mary Ann Hammar, age 81 of Rockwood, passed away February 16, 2025.

Born April 12, 1943 in Monroe, Mary Ann was the daughter of Paul and Rita (Etchill) Meyer. A graduate of Trenton High School, she married the love of her life, William Hammar, on February 1, 1964. Mary Ann worked for over 30 years for the News Herald News Paper. She was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Mary Ann enjoyed traveling to their seasonal camper at Goose Lake in Jackson and trips to the casino, but her most treasured times were those spent with her friends and family.

Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory, William, her husband of the past 61 years; a son William (Kristin) Hammar; and 2 grandchildren: Colin (Samantha Kaczor) Hammar and Casey Hammar. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents.

In accordance with Mary Ann’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes-Ford Chapel.
