Mary Ann Haase

Mary Ann Haase, of Grosse Ile, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023. Beloved wife of Phillip Haase. Loving mother of Jon (Lori) Rumley, Amy (Brock) Nurenberg, Steve (Wendy) Haase and Karen (Mike) Ritzema. Proud grandma of Madeleine, Ava, Katie, Luke, Ella, Emily, Lucy and Maggie. Dear sister of Jane Brodie and Jean Crook. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. She will be dearly missed by her caregiver, Tracey Constable. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bruce Rumley and her parents Vernon and Margaret King.

Ann proudly taught at Allen Park Public Schools for 30 years before retiring. She shared a love of music for over 60 years as an organist and pianist at every church she attended. She was a devoted member at Trenton First Presbyterian Church. She share her love of traveling, hiking and the outdoors with her family and friends. She loved bird watching, listening to old hymns and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will take place at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes – Trenton Chapel on Thursday June 15, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Trenton First Presbyterian Church on Friday June 16, 2023 from 10:30 am until 11:00 am. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Private burial will follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ann to Alzheimer’s Association or Trenton First Presbyterian Church.
