Mary Alice Champion

Mary Alice (Forcier) Champion, age 93 of Monroe, formerly of Gibraltar, passed away peacefully at home December 10th, 2018. Born August 1, 1925 to the late Stanley and Frances (LaBute) Forcier. She was a 1943 graduate of Slocum Truax High School in Trenton. Mary was the past president of the Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post 4093 in Carleton. Other memberships include the St. Patrick Altar Society, St. Anne’s Guild, and the Ash Sr. Citizens Center. Loving mother of David (the late Junie) Murphy, Linda (Fred) Bromund, Suzanne (Jim) Blouse, and Barbara (David) Stahl. She was a proud grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will take place on Friday December 14, 2018 from 2-8pm at the Ford Chapel, Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 23620 N. Huron River, Rockwood. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 15, 2018 from 10am until time of Funeral Mass 10:30am, at St. Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 32467 Church St., Rockwood. Interment to follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron Twp.
