Mary A. Romero

Mary A. Romero, of Detroit, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Raul Z. Romero. Dear mother of the late Guadalupe Romero, Isabelle Romero, Raul H. Romero Jr., John (Cheryl) Romero, Mario (Donna) Romero, Phil Romero, the late Suzanne Perez, Ruben Romero, Carmen Romero, Roberto (Joyce) Romero, Darrick (Irene) Jackson, Ronald Jackson, and Victoria Mendez. Proud grandmother of 43; great grandmother of 55; and great great grandmother of four. She is preceded in death by all of her siblings. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Mary served as the president of Hubbard Richard Community Council in the 1970’s. She was a Guadeloupana at Most Holy Trinity Parish. She served as a medical assistant at the St. Frances Cabrini Clinic. She was a den mother for the cub scouts troop #360. She was a teachers aid at Webster Elementary School. Her pride and joy were her family, including her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Visitation will take place at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes – Allen Park Chapel on Sunday June 18, 2023 from 2:00pm until 9:00 pm. The funeral mass will take place on Monday June 19, 2023 at Most Holy Trinity Church, In state from 9:30 until the mass begins at 10:00 am. Burial will take place immediately after at Woodmere Cemetery.
