Marty Mclaughlin

We are saddened to announce that Marty McLaughlin, 68, of Romulus, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2025.

Marty is survived by his two sons, Martin, Jr. "Mac" and Zachary McLaughlin and their mother, Kristen Townsend. His siblings, Carol Mallard and Susan Haboian (Chris). His nephews, Jonathon Mallard, (Laura), David Mallard and Kyle Haboian and his niece, Anna Mallard as well as his great nieces and nephews, cousins and many close friends. He is also survived by his 3 dogs, Bucky, Spike and Wendy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Pauline McLaughlin and his brother, John McLaughlin.

Marty graduated from Trenton Highschool in 1974 and then attended Michigan State University where he was a skilled hockey player and graduated in1986 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

He had a true passion for hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. His serenity was found in the woods, on the water or spending time with his dogs. He enjoyed the mountains and took pride in planting trees. He loved telling jokes and stories, grilling and watching his boy's hockey team. He was also passionate about teaching others the game of hockey, and anything to do with hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. Especially Mac and Zach.

Marty was a very charismatic and intelligent man, with a generous spirit and great sense of humor. He touched many lives on his journey, and he will be greatly missed.
