Marshall L. Kennedy

Born in Monkland, Ontario, Canada, Marshall was the son of Donald and Elsie (Riley) Kennedy. After graduation from high school, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Carol June Gunder, on February 23, 1963. Sadly she preceded him in death October 24, 2003. A dedicated family man, Marshall worked for over 40 years with Ford Motor Company-Woodhaven Stamping Plant, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking and playing softball. He also was an avid Billiards player, playing on the Pool League for Verna's Tavern for many years, but his most cherished times were those spent with his family. Marshall leaves to cherish his memory his children: Donald (Joyce) Kennedy of Newport, David Kennedy of Monroe, William (Janet) Kennedy of Newport, Robert Kennedy of Newport, Colene (Steven) Halstead of Howell, Carol Moinicken of Monroe and Patty Kennedy of Newport; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way); as well as his siblings: Patrick (Patte) Kennedy of Monroe, Katherine (David) Haws of Carleton and Michael (Barbara) Kennedy of Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Marshall are asked to consider Henry Ford Hospice.
