Born in Brandycamp, Pennsylvania, Mark was the son of Mark and Louise (Armanini) Grazioli. At age 3 the family moved to Allen Park, Michigan where he was raised. After his marriage to the love of his life, Mary Jane Grazioli on June 25, 1960, they raised their family in Detroit, Lincoln Park, Southgate and Riverview. The couple then moved to Grosse Isle and most recently to the Kinghaven Senior Apartments in Riverview. Together they traveled extensively to many destinations around the world. Sadly, Mary Jane preceded him in death on January 31, 2024.
A graduate of Holy Redeemer High School, he continued his education, earning a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, from University of Detroit and then a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University.
He worked for over 35 years as a Civil Engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers, all in the Detroit District where he served for many years as the Head of Construction Operations, and then another 10 years with Wade-Trim. Mark was a member of the Downriver Italian-American Club where he served as President on two occasions, St. Cyprian Catholic Church where he served on the Parish Council and in the Usher’s Club, the Seniors Group in Riverview, the Kinghaven Senior Community, where he facilitated their weekly poker games, and the Society of Military Engineers. He also served for many years as the President of the former Good Shepard Credit Union. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards and following Detroit professional sports but his most treasured times were those spent with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up and participate in their many activities.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory his children: Marshall (Colleen) Grazioli, Marlene (Steve) Erno, Michelle Asdigian and Mark (Alicia) Grazioli; 13 grandchildren: Kevin (Christine), Andrew (Kara) Ashley (Jason), Michael, Mitchell, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Marissa, Erica, Josh, Daniel, Stevie and Annie; as well as 2 great grandchildren: Emma and Hannah. In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by a twin baby brother Marshall Grazioli (1937) and a sister Donna Grazioli (2015). Memorial contributions in honor of Mark may be made to All Saints Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry to the tribute. Folks can either write a check payable to Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan with "All Saints Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry" in the memo line, go to the website Donate - CCSEM
