Born March 24,1968 in Monroe, Mi to Sidney Michael Manor and Jane Frances Manor (Kansier). Mark was brother to Angela O’Rourke (Manor) and John Manor spouse Linda Manor (Trouten). Mark was Uncle to Amanda Welton (O’Rourke), Joshua O’Rourke, Connor O’Rourke, Erin O’Rourke, Thomas O’Rourke. Nicholas Manor, and Isabella Manor. Paul Arendt, Daniel Arendt, Rylee Elamon. AJ Rossvannes. Nathan Tilley, Lyndsi Tilley, Kaysi Tilley, John Tilley. Cody Hawes, Aaron Hawes, Dylan Hawes.
Mark graduated from Airport High School in 1986. Mark graduated from Case Western Diesel Tech in 1988. Mark worked at Cummins Diesel in the New Hudson and Dearborn Branches for 36 years. During his career at Cummins Mark worked as a Field Service Technician for the company and was a great mentor to new technicians.
Mark was married Melissa Jean Manor (Olson) in 1989 and was Dad to Lynn Marie Thoms (Manor) and Michael James Manor Spouse Brittany Manor (Boland). Mark married Shannon Lee Manor (Tilley) in 2010 and was also Dad to Amanda Carol Tilley-LaPlante Spouse Margaret Tilley-LaPlante (LaPlante). Mark was Papa to Lauren Elizabeth-Ann Thoms, Logan William-Uncle Michael Thoms, and Zoey Jane Manor. Mark was also his eldest granddaughter, Lauren’s best friend.
Mark will be remembered by his family, friends, and coworkers as “The Man, the Myth, and the Papa.”
Mark was a simple man with classy taste. He loved flashlights which he routinely bought, he always had one at the ready to gift to someone saying, “You can’t have too many.” Mark also loved flannel shirt coats, tie dye shirts, t-shirts, and coats with as many pockets as possible. Mark was an avid rock collector, collecting from anywhere; on vacation, doctors' offices, and Michael's backyard. Marks passion for the Red Wings and Michigan State was true and loyal. Mark enjoyed vacationing with his wife and family, fishing, and late-night shopping trips. Mark had an Irish and Polish Heritage, he was always on the lookout for a great polish restaurant and celebrating his favorite holiday, St. Patrick's Day, filled with family, food, and laughter.
Mark considered his children, grandchildren, and his home with his beautiful wife Shannon as his greatest successes. His family loves him greatly; he will be sorely missed but he has left us with a beautiful legacy.
