Marjorie E. Souva

Born in Lincoln Park, Marjorie was the daughter of Elmer & Helen (Yanza) Krigner Sr. She married Charles T. Souva on January 15, 1955 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Newport. He preceded her in death April 1, 1990. A 1952 graduate of Lincoln Park High School, Marjorie worked for over 31 years at La-Z-Boy Inc., retiring in 1997. She was a faithful member of St. Charles Catholic Church and a 40 year member of its credit union where she also served as a Loan Officer, she has been a member of the Salvation Army Board of Directors since 1991 and had also volunteered for the River Raisin Center for the Arts. Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory her children: Debra (Gordon) Bell of Stanwood, Washington, Faye (John) Ball of Wyandotte and Michael (Teena) Souva of Newport; five grandchildren: Joanne, William, Daniel, Kelly and Kevin; as well as two great grandchildren: Erin and Renee and a sister-in-law Mary Krigner of Lincoln Park. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Elmer Krigner Jr. and granddaughter Jennifer Calvin In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Mercy-Memorial Hospice.
