Mario Gizzi
Gizzi, Mario; age 97, of Allen Park. June 17, 2017. Loving husband of the late Nina Gizzi. Dear father of the late Concetta (Tina) Horrey, Sam (Cindy) Gizzi, and Daniel Gizzi. Proud grandfather of Steven, Nicholas, Nicole, and Michele. Great grandfather of Emma, Olivia, Alexandra, and Dylan. Mario was a World War II veteran; he fought in Normandy, Northern France, Luxemburg, and Germany. Mario has four bronze stars, purple heart, and France gave him the Legion of Honor Medal in November of 2016. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 21, 2017 at the Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes at 10915 Allen Rd. Allen Park, MI 48101 from 3pm-9pm. The funeral service will be at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church at 9000 Laurence Allen Park, MI 48101. Instate from 9:30 to 10 am with the funeral mass at 10 am. Visit www.martenson.com
