Margerie Ellen Alice

Click on the tribute wall above to view Alice's video tribute and Vigil Service Margerie was born on April 8, 1933 and died on May 14, 2020 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital at the age of 87; she was of Grosse Ile and formerly of Trenton. Beloved wife of Edward. Loving mom of Edward, Paul (Lynn), Peter, Ken, Mark (Deborah), Joanne Alice-Knight and former mother-in-law to Wendy. Proud grandma of Nathan, Matthew, Joseph, Tiffany, Breanne, Heather, Joanne and the late Nicole. Great grandma of Tyler, Jack, Isaiah, Tristan and Zoe. Dearest sister of Eileen and the late Virginia. Also survived by many other loving family and friends who thought of her as a mother/grandma. Preceded in death by her parents Horace and Josephine (nee: Pazzanese) Harbroe. Margerie cherished her family and was an excellent homemaker. She was a secretary for many years and helped her husband with their family law practice. Margerie taught figure skating and was actively involved with many skating competitions and ice shows. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Association, the Lawyers Auxiliary, was a founding member of the Trenton Hockey Association, and was a member of Wyandotte Figure Skating Club and United States Figure Skating Association. She was a long-time member of St. Timothy Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Visitation in on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 12 noon until 6 pm with a Vigil service Tuesday at 6 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. Margerie will lie in state at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 2901 Manning, Trenton on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 10:30 am until the Funeral Liturgy which will begin at 11 am. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made as the donor chooses.
