Margaret G. Hornyak

Margaret G. Hornyak, age 88, a lifelong resident of Grosse Ile, passed away after a lengthy illness on April 17, 2019. Marge never complained or allowed her illness to slow her down. She was an avid reader who enjoyed spending time with her friends; she loved a good meal and would never turn down a day at the casino. Marge was always the life of the party. Margaret was born on February 3, 1931 to John and Theresa Hornyak. She had 3 sisters Elizabeth, Theresa and Joan and one brother Joseph, who preceded her in death. She was the proud Aunt of Margaret Moynan (David) Van Zandt, Kathleen Moynan, James Kelley, John (Laurie) Powser and Terry Terri. She had many loving friends. Marge said "I've had a good life and I have wonderful memories". A memorial mass will take place at a later date at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Grosse Ile.
