Margaret F. Henry

Margaret F. Henry, age 92 of Grosse Ile, MI passed away peacefully August 12th, 2022. She was born May 20th, 1931 in Sylva, N.C. to the late Frank and Mae Henry. She often talked of her years in N.C. where she had many loving cousins, and spent every Sunday at her Mossie’s house whom she adored. She moved to Trenton, MI at 9 years of age where she grew up and attended Trenton High School. Margaret was voted class actress and was the Treasurer of Trenton H.S.’s first National Honor Society. At 19 years of age she was working at Trenton A & W where she met her husband, the late Dewey Henry. They had four children, Susan, Linda, Douglas and Julie and four grandchildren, Allison, Daniel, Luke and Grant. Margaret was preceded in death by her siblings Richard Henry and Phyllis Proud. Margaret was a homemaker, a volunteer probation officer and was president of the Downriver Chapter of Sweet Adelines. She was most known for her strong faith in God. Even at the very end, she preached to the minister who came to pray over her. She will be sorely missed by many. "Well done, good and faithful servant".
