Margaret “Honey” Blair passed away on June 8, 2021 at the age of 93 after a courageous battle with cancer; she held on to her beauty and dignity the whole time. We were able to stay by her side until her last breath although, this is going to be a great void in the lives of the loved ones she has left behind. “Margie” was given to Julius and Rosie Papp, who were from Hungary, on April 21, 1928. Her family settled on a nice piece of land in Delray that her father farmed and she was raised in the home her father built; she attended Southwest High School. After meeting her only husband, Gray Clayson Blair who was from Tennessee, they moved to Allen Park which was her only move her entire life. She was a mother who involved herself in her children’s lives and she was passionate about being a member of the PTA. She was hired as a secretary for Ford Motor Company; she was self-taught and learned a lot as she moved forward and advanced to the executive level at Ford Motor Division where she launched the Ford Listens Program and was recognized for it’s success. You may have known her for the grace and proficiency that she exhibited in Ballroom Dancing for over thirty years; she was praised by many for her grace and Margie attributed her fine health and mobility to those dancing skills. Margie is survived by her children; Sandra Lynn (the late Donald) Kissel and Cynthia (James) Steenhuizen. Also survived by her grandchildren: Jeremy Orvis, Christina Blair Brookshire, Angela Renee Kissell (Schafer), Andrew Clayson Kissel, Joel Dean Blair, Amber Blair Kissel, Dylan Simpson, Trevor Steenhuizen and Alexis (Jacob) Terzian and her great grandchildren and her great grandchildren: Jonathan Orvis, Lauren Orvis, Madilyn Schafer, Emma Schafer, Nevayah Wall, Nathaniel Kendrick and Vanna Kendrick She was preceded in death by her two children Clayson Richard Blair and Tina Marie Simpson and her sisters: Rosie Szekely, Mary Kalmar and her brother Julius Papp Services are private.
