Margaret Ann Chenevare, better known to her friends and family as Marge", departed this life on January 30, 2007, at Oakwood Dearborn Hospital after battling cancer for many months. Marge was born in Hamtramck, Michigan, on January 21, 1943, to George and Emma Jean Kusak. Marge was united in marriage to Thomas Zempel, and to that union were born sons Joseph (wife, Traci) and Thomas, and daughter Lorrie (husband, Steve). Marge later married her husband of 19 years, Richard James Chenevare, in 1988; and, as a result of that marriage, she gained six step-children, Frank (wife, Donna), Brenda (fianc, Steve), Karen (fianc, Keith Fortner), Tara, Russell and Eric. Marge was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grand-children; although, she was especially close to grandchildren Joey and Tabitha, since she participated in their upbringing. She was pre-ceded in death by her parents, daughter Lorrie Alexander, and pet Pomeranian, Corky. In addition, left to cherish Marge's memory are three brothers, John, George and Frank Kusak; sister, Mrs. Jeannie Fox; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many in-laws. Grateful for having shared her life are her neighbors of many years, her special friends, Millie and Billie of the Taylor Trade Center, where Marge operated a booth, and pet Pug, Midnight. Marge was a collector of dolls and loved to cook and bake, read, sew, garden, camp and fish. She worked as a bus aide and lay teacher for the Taylor Public Schools for 19 years as well. The family has entrusted arrangements to The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, Inc., 10915 Allen Road, Allen Park, Michigan 48101. Funeral service 2pm Saturday at the funeral home. Visitation Thursday from 5 to 9pm and Friday from 3 to 9pm. The family also wishes to take this opportunity to express their gratitude for the kindness evidenced in your thoughts and deeds during this time and for your attendance at her visitation and celebration of life.
