Born in Monroe, Madeline was the daughter of Salvatore and Vencinzina (Casciola) Mignano. She married the love of her life, Eugene Jenkins, on July 4, 1956 in Knoxville, Tennessee. A dedicated homemaker, Madeline also worked for over 50 years at the family business, Mignano's Food and Beer Center on Monroe's East Side. She enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers but her most cherished times were those spent with family. Madeline leaves to cherish her memory, Gene, her husband of the past 60 years; children: Jenise (Kurt) Steinman of Monroe, Julie (Ed Biniecki) Christensen of Monroe and John Jenkins of LaSalle; grandchildren: A.J. Steinman, Jacob Jenkins, Kelsey (Heather Liedel) Steinman, McKenzie Jenkins and Hannah Christensen; two great grandchildren: Kylee and Brantley; as well as a sister-in-law Leona Mignano. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Tony Mignano and Samuel Mignano Jr.; a sister Bess Mignano and a grandson Dane Christensen. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Madeline, are asked to consider: St. John Catholic Church or Oaks of Righteousness Christian Ministries.
