Born in Detroit, Luke was the son of Johann and Winifred (Coon) Drotar. He married the love of his life, Bonnie Brown, August 3, 1968. Sadly she preceded him in death October 26, 1999. He had worked at Ford Motor Company as a Skilled Tradesman and Welder/Repairman for over 46 years, retiring in 2016. Luke served in the Navy for two terms during the Vietnam Conflict. Luke leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Lisa (Koji) Nishizuka; siblings: Suzanne (Gerritt) Jongkind, James (Monique) Drotar, Christopher (Angela) Drotar, Francis Drotar, Theresa (Timothy) Abbott, Robert Drotar, John Drotar and Karen (Jeff) Turgeon; as well as three grandchildren: Kristin (Ron) Decker, Melissa and Thomas and one great granddaughter: Cami. He was also preceded in death by his father and two of his brothers: Thomas Drotar and Douglas Drotar. Click on the multimedia tab to view Luke's video tribute.
