Louis A. Gardner, of Monroe, passed away August 8, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Phyllis Gardner, and his sisters, Sharon Ferris Stern and Ann Gardner. He is survived by his niece Jacqueline Farris, of Allentown Pennsylvania, his nephew, Jim Farris of Portales, New Mexico and his best friend Darrell Darr. Louis was an avid bird watcher; he would take bags of bird seed and throw it out so he could sit in his garage and watch them enjoy the food. Instead of television this is what he loved to watch. He knew just about every bird in the neighborhood that would come to his yard to eat. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and had a passion for cars. He once owned a corvette, Camaro and Mustang. Louis was known for his jokes and how sometimes they would be off-color. He was always giving to others, especially his half dollars. He was a proud high voltage lineman and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #17 in Southfield, Michigan.
