Loren E. Shaul, Sr.

Loren was born on December 29, 1931 in Goshen, Indiana and died on October 16, 2020 at the age of 88; he was of Trenton. He was preceded in death by his former spouse Ruth Ann. Beloved dad of Terry Venier, Loren, Jr. (Natalie) Shaul, Cindy (Kenneth) Daugherty-Bewick and the late Shelly (Gene) Smith . Proud grandfather of Crystal, Dwayne, Justin, Kimberly, Michael, Samuel, Sophia, Maria and Casey. Great grandfather of Blake, Ben and Bianca as well as other great grandchildren. Loren is also survived by many other family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents Nealy E. and Bessie Shaul; his brothers: Horace, Leland, Milton and Jerry and his sisters Juanita and Juanda. Loren was a graduate of Trenton High School who proudly served his Country in the United States Army Marine Corps League during the Korean conflict; he was retired from Great Lakes Steel and the Wayne County Medical Examiners. Loren was an honorable man who would do anything for anyone. His love in life was his family; he was a hard worker who always wanted to make sure his family was well cared for and he checked on them often, Loren loved to cook and his cooking will be one of the many things his family will miss about him. There will be a committal service on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 2 pm at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 23723 Telegraph Road, Flat Rock, MI; the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard will participate at the cemetery. Memorial contributions to honor Loren’s life may be made as the donor chooses.
