Lona Z. Ledesma

Lona Ledesma, 94 years of age, passed away Tuesday August 11th, 2020. Lona was born October 15th, 1925, in Gainesboro Tennessee, to the late Troy and Maggie Hensley. She was the second oldest of twelve children, seven of her siblings preceded her in death. Lona was also preceded in death by her husband Octavio Ledesma and three grandchildren (Steven Dyer, Carl Edward Haney, and Kirstie Mc Gill) Lona previously married the late Jesse Lane and six children were born from this union. Lona and Jesse moved to Michigan in late 50s. Lona worked very hard supporting her family and retired from Whitehead Manufacturing in 1988. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, and traveling. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Lona’s loving memory will be cherished by her six children, Jerry Lane, Judy Dyer, Geneva Haney, George Lane, Patricia Barker, and Linda Magier. As well as her 11 surviving grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Lona’s life will be held at a later date.
