Linda was born on January 9, 1954 and died on November 13, 2017 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital at the age of 63; she was of Lincoln Park. Beloved wife of 42 years to David Sr. Loving mom of Candace (Jason) Shotwell, David Jr. (Valerie) and Geoff. Proud grandma of David III, Cayden, Abigail, Jason Jr., Brandon and Chase. Dearest sister of Ken Hawkins. Also survived by other family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Melvina (nee: Ulrey) Hawkins and one brother Edward Hawkins Jr. Linda was employed at the United States Coast Guard Station Sector Detroit; she was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, a past Matron for the Order of the Eastern Star in Lincoln Park and currently served on the Selective Service Board. Memorial contributions may be made to the United States Coast Guard Central Morale Well-Being and Recreation. Checks made out to: US Coast Guard MWR Fund.
